INTRODUCTION:

The beautiful leaves of 'Green oak' which belongs to the Fagaceae family. Natively known as 'Mohru'.Botanical name is "Quercus dilatata". Green oak is a large evergreen tree from the Himalayan regions. Throughout history, oak trees and their leaves have held cultural significance in many societies. The oak tree has often been associated with strength, longevity, and wisdom. 


FEATURES:

Green oak's leaves are extensively used as cattle fodder and these leaves are recognized by its nerves that are entirely forked.During the growing season, the leaves of Green oak are a vibrant green color. In the autumn, they undergo a stunning transformation, turning shades of red, orange, and brown before eventually falling from the tree.They contribute to nutrient cycling as they decompose, enriching the soil and providing resources for other plants and microorganisms. The fallen leaves also create a layer of organic matter that helps retain moisture in the soil.


PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND NUTRIENT CYCLING:

One of the primary functions of green oak leaves is photosynthesis.
