INTRODUCTION :  The plant in this picture, that is the member of Urticaceae family is really something, which I think many people from mountains can recognize it for sure! . Natively known as 'bichhu buti'/ stinging nettle in English and Botanical name is ' Urtica diocia '. It is a plant armed with tiny, hair-like structures that deliver a painful sting when touched. These hairs contain irritants, including histamines and formic acid, which can cause an immediate burning and itching sensation upon contact with human skin.
